Catalina was Jack Dail's twin sister. She was always asked questions about Jack at school, and people never even cared about her, they only cared about if they were friends with her they were considered  friends with Jack also. 

One day Jack was going to visit his friends in New Jersey, Ethan and Grayson Dolan. Catalina wanted nothing to do with what Jack did as per usual. 

But since their parents are gone for a week Their parents insisted Jack takes his twin sister with him to meet his friends.
