The World of Vala is home to both peace and beauty. Yet that was not always the case. In the recent past the world was consumed in perpetual warfare and strife. This peace that stands was set in place by the previous generation. These so called torch bearers of peace were able to fight in order to establish a way of light through the chaos that bred them. Despite all the good there actions have wrought the world there sins have arisen and threaten to tear this peaceful time period asunder. It's up to new generation to pay for the "Sins of there Fathers."

The Glimmerstone Enigma [Epic Fantasy][D&D Inspired] by Ravensaloft
25 parts Ongoing Mature
The outcome of many epic wars often hinges on the efforts of unexpected heroes whose details are lost to time and never appear in historical accounts. This is one of those tales. When ruthless demons attack without warning, slaughtering the brothers and sisters of the Luminarium, early clues suggest the use of magic well beyond the capabilities of contemporary masters. The two surviving monks join forces with some old friends and new allies to determine the perpetrator and their end game. What they discover is a potentially apocalyptic future. What to Expect: Multiple Main Characters: A group of imperfect non-human adventurers with various skills and backgrounds join forces for a common desirable outcome. Collaborative Problem Solving: The struggle to become greater than the sum of their original parts and find a way to succeed as significant underdogs. Exploration and Discovery: A world with history, magic, and cryptids waiting to be discovered understood, harnessed, and overcome. Natural Progression (without the stats): MCs develop personally and professionally within the story's context, honing themselves and their craft as they go. Dungeons and Dragons flavor: A homebrew world that broadly follows the ideas and constructs of the game. More adventure than politics: Worldbuilding is minor and situationally relevant. There will be no info dumps of national history or political rivalry - except where necessary to the plot. For me, the characters and the adventure are the story.

Dragon Bound - The Saga of Flames and Frost by opheliasikes

Illara had trained all her life for this moment. She had been chosen - from all eligible women throughout the three kingdoms - to be presented to the dragon. Her noble sacrifice would ensure the safety of her lands for a full year. She glowed with pride at the thought. And any moment now the massive dragon would come soaring over the mountains, his massive strength and awesome power - What was this? Along a rocky pass, moving with the persistence of a love-struck cow, was something metallic. Something shiny. Her heart thundered with panic as the object drew closer and resolved into a shape. For she knew it could ruin everything. It could cause the destruction of all she held dear. It was a knight. * * * Half of all proceeds of the Dragon novelettes benefit battered women's shelters. While this first book is non-explicit, due to the strong sexual content and adult situations in future books, this romantic suspense series is recommended for readers aged 17+. The series is structured for readers to read along as I write them to offer feedback and suggestions on the complex storyline. If you're the style of reader who would prefer to wait until the entire series is finished before you tackle it, that is fine! Simply wait until the series is complete and I'll offer the boxed set. I do that with all of my books. The reason I publish as I write is that I don't write full time and it can sometimes take months for me to finish up a storyline. There are readers who don't want to wait - who would rather read along as I go and stay engaged in the process. That way they can provide feedback and suggestions on the storyline. Whichever way works well for you, I provide an option. I'd love to hear from you at my website at OpheliaSikes.com.

THE ROAD

27 parts Complete

What first comes in your mind when you hear or see the word 'road', a path or a way to cover or reach a certain place? Well it is more than that. Road or a path is important in everyone's life. Like for instance, you gotta first travel the road of failure to reach the road of success, You really need to see the road of evil before finding the road of God. Moreover, you have to travel the road of death to actually travel the road to life. And some roads lead you to a never ending journey or I suppose, to a place from where there's no coming back. Some paths tell stories these paths may be the most or less travelled; and you see the road less travelled give you unending adventures, and you never know might be those roads were the once most travelled.
