Brush my teeth, get dressed, go to school and do homework. That's what my life was about, occasionally going to parties. But when a new kid comes to school and turns your world upside down, your best friend turning into your enemy. And me, turning into something that isn't exactly human. Things could get pretty strange. Especially with a life like mine. It would take a lot of work to actually survive, but to live at the same time is just exhausting. But it's all worth it. Instead my attention was focused on who I saw seated in the restaurant. His eyes were on the screen in the corner of the room. I knew that because my gaze used to be directed in that direction while I mopped the floors at night. Without warning, he began to laugh. I couldn't hear anything, it was a soundless laughter. Not because I was in a trance, but because the windows and doors blocked in all the sounds... depriving me of the sound I wanted to hear most. Something about his expression made me smile. He looked... if only there were a word to describe how he looked. One word that could paint this perfect image of him in detail capturing even the motion of the moment. But before I could come up with that word, that perfect moment was broken. I inhaled sharply as his eyes landed on me. His face went blank removing all the evidence that he had been expressing amusement. Like a mirror, my smile faded.
