The Bachelor's Auction is a contemporary romance set in the United States. Carrie Beecher is a professional house sitter, happy to be an unmarried free spirit. Lucas Sullivan is a security expert in need of a wife and has found the perfect candidate in Carrie. They encounter each other once a year at a charity bachelor date auction. In order to meet Carrie, Lucas overrides the auction's set up and bids on a date with her. Carrie disappears before the date but ends up stranded with Lucas at her next house-sitting job. Confronted by one of her estranged mother's seedy connections she has to utilize Lucas' expertise. Carrie overcomes her past, her fears, and her insecurity as she gains self confidence and skills during Lucas' training.
