Jordyn Avery lived a half life. After her parents divorce, she learned to only depend on herself. When the Doctor arrived, she felt like she could finally belong somewhere. Then Rose fell in love, and she thought she would become the third wheel, or even seen as someone inadequate.

The Doctor tries to show her that she had no need to feel this way but discovers that something else could be causing Jordyn to be depressed, a secret that, until now, she doesn't even know.

NOTES: No Rose-bashing. First In The Girl Who Stayed Trilogy. I do not own Doctor Who, just Jordyn and additional dialogue. Trigger Warnings on necessary chapters.
