About a year after the zombies rose to power a man named Austin and his son, Ben, are traveling around the country trying to survive at any means necessary. Along the way they will encounter friendly faces, not so friendly faces, zombified creatures, among many other things. They soon realize that they must do anything necessary even if it means losing the ones you love, in order to keep each other safe in this hellish nightmare turned reality.
