Without changing a person's personality, undergoing the Alteration perfects their appearance, IQ, and even their immunity to diseases. No human passes the age of sixteen without being Altered. The CIA gets involved with new technology to copy and switch people's minds to help maintain the USA's power advantage. Though things don't go according to the CIA's plans. And to complicate things, many fear that the "Mark of the Beast" is the sign that the devil wishes to gain more control of the world. This story will keep you in suspense, while in real life these technologies are actually coming closer to reality. I would say this story is rated PG13 if it were to become a movie.

EXTRACT FROM BOOK: I don't know how to live anymore. With everyone I care about dead, all I can do is focus on Survival finding Food, Fresh Water and Keeping away from the dangerous groups of Reluquos. After the Disease that killed off the Majority of the world finally deceased it left the world a Hostile and Dangerous place. With approximately 2,500 people left in America and 15,000 left in the world, it isn't often you come across someone just passing by, there are three main groups that stick together The Beati, who are the apocalyptic version of a hippy, The Operarios Group (just normal people trying to survive), and then of course The Reluquos the power hungry killers who execute anyone who try's to get in their way or disagrees with them. Oh and then there are just the Loners like me hoping to find somewhere they can fit in and belong. I don't know what made me go this route but for some reason I did and now I'm standing face to face with a Reluquos Army Leader. His strong arm grips onto my Shoulder stopping me from moving, He regards me coolly studying my face for signs of fear, which I'm trying my damned hardest to suppress. Finally he talks....

After a nuclear war nearly in 2150 the whole Earth has become uninhabitable for humans. There are some major cities which are still running but have very scarce resources such as food, water and oil. There are tall, thick walls protecting people from the outside world, surrounding the whole city and there is a ceiling, blocking the radiation from seeping in as air is filtered through the roof. The year is now 2205 which is the beginning for Earth to become how it was before. There are a group of people called The Warriors who go out and try to look for resources, facing death daily. A seventeen year old boy tries to steal food for his friend, he gets caught and is sentenced to death. The only way he could get out is if he joined The Warriors to search for a mythical jungle which is rumored to be flourishing in food and water. The journey is going to be very dangerous and death can come at any corner. There are bandit clans, somehow surviving outside of the walls and new types of animals unseen from humans that they didn't know existed. He will meet new friends, make some enemies and will be manipulated to do some really idiotic things, will he survive the journey and become a hero? Or will he die anyway?

They wouldn't have to work jobs. They wouldn't have currency. They wouldn't have to deal with challenges. They could live their lives the way everyone wants to. But there was one catch. And that was that the government made it a law that nothing bad could ever happen. No crimes, no arguments, no fights. The citizens would all be kept calm and they would be kind to each other. Obviously, this failed. Crime broke out. Everyone was fighting each other and the society the government promised turned into a disaster. So, the government decided to do something about it. They decided that everyone who rebelled against them or did anything bad would be put into a perfect android body which was devoid of doing anything wrong. But, they would also be drained of their freedom and emotion. They would be slaves to the government. The majority submitted to the government's orders. But some didn't. This is the story of the ones who rebelled.
