"It's kind of complicated...." I said as I started trailing off. This is what I told pretty much everyone at my new school, and I was already getting tired of it.
Leila Daniels was living the life somebody could only imagine. She had the perfect boyfriend, with the perfect blonde hair and blue eyes look going on. Her friends owned yachts and she did too. Well, that was until her dad lost his job, which left her mom working 24/7. Her mom got a really good job but then they made her choose to lose it or move all the way to New York. She chose the obvious choice of moving and that meant the whole family had to go. Moving all the way across the country is hard enough, but when your boyfriend dumps you and you see him and some other girl on Instagram the next day looking real comfortable together like you had with him, you are the new kid in school, there is a clique of mean girls there too, and the bad boy won't leave you alone it gets a lot harder.
