A long time ago, in a country known as Slanka, there were four towns. Each town was ruled by a dukedom equivalent to a kingdom. The four houses of the dukes: Duke of Diamonds, Duke of Hearts, Duke of Spades, and Duke of Clubs. Together they form a powerful empire strong enough to rule the world but there is just one problem. They do not get along. Each duke has a history with at least one of the other dukes. No matters discussed ever ended in a peaceful accord.

This story evolves around a young girl; the daughter of the Duke of Hearts. Anna Forester is an adventurous and jolly girl at the age of 11 who is full of wonders. She spent most of her years within the confines of her family's mansion but maintained a good childhood. Her desires to see new things derived from books her father brings from places he has been to.

On the day of her 12th birthday, being the little devious girl she was, she runs from the maids and stumbles into a dungeon she never knew existed. Her parents never allowed her near that place. Why is that? The answer she seeks lies ahead.
