Wrong way round

Why cant anyone understand history is written by the winners so how can you know who is good and who is bad what if everything we thought about the bad guys wasn't the case. What if Lucifer was the good guy and Michael the bad. The same with hades and Zeus. History is written by the winners so how do we know who is really good.
