Everyone has that one 'Haunted House' or 'Mysterious Building' on their block growing up, right? That scary looking building that all the kids talk about. They say it's haunted, or that a vampire lives within it's walls. Each have their own twisted version of the murder that happened there, passed down from kid to kid like a gory version of telephone.
But the kids never go into the scary places, do they? Only in stories do they ever. For who would want to risk waking the dead? Or ending up like that Jamie kid everyone talks about. Or was it Paul? You know who I'm talking about. That kid who died there last year, or was it eighty years ago?
Well, it depends on who you here the story from, I guess.
NSL (No Street Lights) is going to be a collection of scary stories each following a unique theme.

I don't know when it happened, or how, but I know I'm crazy. Nothing more, nothing less. Or well, maybe add weird too. Most people tend to stay away from me and it's no mystery why. But then those five hot guys just had to come and kidnap me. Like, why? Because apparently my dad is the leader of an infamous gang and these teenagers want to take him down. Pfft, still doesn't count. Now, I'm just worrying about whether or not I want to get released - an excuse for skipping school? Hell yeah! Though there is that tiny, little issue regarding the question about if they are going to kill me or not. Might as well have a bit of fun before that happens. ~~~ Okay, so this is like my first book, and... It's... I don't know what it is. Who knew haunted theme parks where still a thing? Who knew such a thing could still exist in this atomic world we live in? The thing is, people think less and less of the horrors in their life because they don't want to deal with it. But in this story, this is about 4 teenagers stumbling soon a theme park in the middle of no where after a car accident. Their is no reception, no batteries in there phones, just a lot up theme park they must enter if they dare. In there they must ride these horrific rides to be able to make it home alive, but who though going on a roller coaster would be so hard? But hey, this is a devilish theme park so what do you think your gonna experience and see in the rides? Plots twist, romance, horror, shocking ending, and most of all. Michael's Ghost Girl
This story is not getting the attention it deserves, so I am attempting to "re-brand" it. Maybe no one "gets" it. If you want to read about "Normal" teenagers, maybe this isn't for you, it's more complicated than that. It's about a teenager who doesn't fit it, but doesn't want to, who has the best two friends that anyone could have. Who watched his father lose his job in the Recession and then loses his home, and how he copes, especially when he learns that their new house is haunted and the ghost is in his room. Michael was an average kid, although he's always stood out. He was a school jock but also a skater whose long blond hair almost reaches his waist. When his parents lived in a house in a home owners association like all his other friends, life seemed normal. Then his father lost his job and suddenly those "friends" weren't there anymore--except for his two best friends, Short Round and Dewey. The three are skaters, good ones, who live for girls and their skateboards. They're also basically good kids who take pride in being different without paying attention to it. When Michael loses his home and his family has to move they have his back. And they are there for him when the ghost girl starts following him around. Mariah was murdered when she was just 15, her remains were never found, although no one but her and her ghost friend, Crazy Girl, know where their bodies are buried. The house Michael now lives in is the one where she lived with her family, and her old room is now his. She appears to him one night, trying to taunt him, but against her will she is falling in love with the boy who lives in her old room. Slowly the two begin to fall in love and Mariah tells him her story, and of the hidden danger that lies up the street from him.
