Picking up my rose gold IPhone 6s I didn't bother looking at the caller ID. Sliding across the answer button I held it to my ear, listening to what the person had to say.

"Hello, um is this Abigail Williams ?"

"Yes ? May I ask who this is ?"

"My name is Cathy, I'm a nurse at Elizabeth's Hospital. I'm sorry to inform  you that your parents Jack and Amy Williams were in a serious plane accident. Unfortunately your father didn't make it, but your mother is in surgery. I will inform you with any later notice." After those words all I heard was the beep your phone makes when someone hangs up.
