Ashley Darko has been the best friend to Damon Salvatore for decades. In fact, there have been many times in which she was his only friend. But, they complement each other. One is never quite whole without the other. Just a few days after she arrives in Mystic Falls, she catches the eye of one of the strongest and oldest creatures on the face of the earth.

"Ashley?" Damon asked as he rose from his seat and looked up at me, confused but obviously happy as his arms wrapped around me in a tight hug. "What are you doing here?"

"I wanted to see you. After all, I'm your best friend." I said teasingly as I hugged him back and his arms slowly slid away from me.

"Let me guess, you got tired of Max?" he asked as he sat back down at the couch and I sat beside him with my legs over his lap, already getting comfortable in his house as I usually did.

"You could at least pretend to be a kind gentleman towards me." I said with a roll of my eyes while I slid the glass from his hand and sipped at it myself, watching as my oldest friend locked his phone and placed it on the armrest of the couch.

"What happened? Last time we spoke, he was your soul mate." He asked, still looking at me with a bit on confusion.

"Let's be honest here, I'm my own soul mate." I sipped at the dark liquid again then shrugged, "besides, I probably don't have much of a soul at this point." 

Note: This is set in about season 3. I want to try to avoid spoilers for people who are not caught up with the series and may be watching it on Netflix.All Rights Reserved

She is extremely wanted by the Volturi because she is known as the most powerful vampire in the world. She was fully turned by Niklaus Mikealson because a werewolf attack. She loves the Mikealsons until Mikeal was hunting his children thus making her hate Kol and the rest of the Mikealsons minus Klaus because he came back and saved her. In 1893 she met Carlisle and formed a coven and slowly added members. She absolutely loves her family/coven she started with Carlisle. She has a bit of a temper when it comes to people harming those she loves. What happens when the hot-headed shape-shifter Paul Lahote meets the fiery black haired, gold eyed vampire and imprints on her.
