My lungs needs more air but tiny bits came in every now and then.
The lady behind me laughs, echoing on the houses wall into my ears, making shivers run down my spine.
Where do I go? I search room by room for a weapon. To end this game right here.
"Help!" I scream.
Pain shoots my leg as I land on a rock and slightly twisted my sprained ankle, making me cry aloud.
This game isn't fair.
I'm only 7 and I'm also hurt.
I cast a look behind me and regret it immediately. She was right on my tail.
"Someone please help!" I scream but my voice was getting smaller.
"No one can hear you, my dear," the lady laugh.
I turn around and stop, sick of this unfair game.
"Why do you laugh all the time! Nothing is funny!" I cry, tears pouring down on my face.
She comes up to me and suprisingly hugs me.
"I know, for your hard work, you can get a gift from me," the lady explains.
"What kind of gift?" I wipe the tears off my cheeks, so I don't look wimpy.
"A magic one," she smiles a smile that didn't touch her eyes, "close your eyes and let the magic come to you."
She is going to kill me.
Giving up, I close my eyes waiting for pain but something else comes to me.
A sweetness you can't taste but feel, a blissful touch to it, swarming me.
I feet it go through my body. It tickles. It feels like I was floating as the blissfulness kept swarming me, I could reach the sky even. Swimming in heaven.
And then, it all ended. My feet are planted firmly to the ground.
"There it is bonded tightly," there's that smile again.
"Sweet dreams, dear," she taps my head and light explodes in my eyes.

WATTPAD BOOKS EDITION There are imperfect moments in every life-but sometimes, there are perfect accidents . . . What's the point of pretending nothing has changed when everything has? It's the last summer before college, and Jonas Avery knows he should be excited. Instead, he hides out at home, avoiding his friends, his family, and everything that resembles his old life. Because nothing will be normal again-because of The Accident, when everything started falling apart. Brennan Davis knows she needs to stand up and face her anxiety-the deep, dark, debilitating dread that rules her everyday life. Because what stops her from going out into the world and just living is going to get a whole lot worse. She's leaving for college in the fall, where she'll be confronted with even more to worry about. To get back up sometimes you have to fall down, hard . . . When Jonas crashes into Brennan-in a harmless, albeit embarrassing fender bender-the two teens connect in ways they never expected. As friends, they help each other overcome their biggest falls and faults, and soon discover that while love can't fix everything, it's sometimes a place to start. Sensitive, wry, and unabashedly authentic, The Opposite of Falling Apart isn't about finding perfection in another person or fixing the things we think are broken. Instead, Micah Good has penned an enchantingly honest novel about accepting the very pieces of ourselves that make us unique, whole, and undeniably human.
