I was normal. My life was normal. My friends were normal. Everything seemed to be normal. That is until that one night I came up with the stupid idea of taking the band camping. Nothing could go wrong right? I was wrong. Terribly wrong. I regret it to this day, I just wish everything would stop. The continuous nightmares as well. It haunts me.

Alone. Naked. Cold. Covered in blood that is just as likely to be mine as someone else's. I don't know who I am, where I am, or what I'm running from. All I get are flashes, snippets of dark shadows, sneering faces. Pain always follows these nightmares, these memories. I was found, taken in, but I have no way of knowing if I only escaped the frying pan just to jump into the fire. I don't understand these people, these wolves. They don't understand me, either. Our words mean nothing to each other, they're no more than sounds. We use gestures, facial expressions, body language like the beasts we seem to be. In Haltonshaw Grove, we tell these real life horror stories to our kids like bedtime tales. They help us learn from a young age to stay out of the forest after dark. But one halloween, we didn't listen- Me and four boys. We broke the rules and we paid the price. We barely made it out alive and now we live with the trauma, the nightmares, the memories. Seven years later, the events of that night, like most things tend to do around here, have come back to haunt us.
