Skylar Leblanc, 23, unemployed is struggling to meet ends with her life. Nothing is working out, and she is desparate for money, so desparate that she is willing to beg her 'best friend' who returned to town years ago for a modelling job, something which she does not enjoy doing, or have any talent on.

Her best friend ultimately rejects her, which throws her further into a pits of despair. She meets someone she offended, Edburg Darwin and they make a bet. If she appears in the cover page of the world famous fashion magazine, Fervor, he'll give her anything she wants. She accepts that begrudingly, although she has no agency and no job at all.

During the darkest day of her life, there is light. She hosts a witty conversation with a stranger down some ratty apartment which she moved to, and wa la! The next day, she is employed, except that she's not employed as Skylar Leblanc, but she's employed as Skyye, a male model, in which the stranger teaches how to be an exceptional model, and her world is turned upside down.
