High school is a stressful experience for everyone, but even more so for Marilyn Wallace. Middle school finally ended, along with her ten month relationship with Sam Anderson. It seems as though the fourteen year old will never find love again. However, during the summer in between middle school and her freshmen year, Marilyn starts to have recurring dreams about the same blond boy whom she cannot identify. The only thing she knows for sure is that she needs to be with that boy. The one fault in this plan is that there is no way to prove he exists. But he has to - after having dream after dream about the same person, after spending quality time with him in a different dimension during a comatose state, the only explanation is that this guy has to be real. Marilyn's friends try to convince her otherwise, saying it's silly to spend time outside of reality. But can the power of thought alter said reality? Can our own brains create not only our own destiny, but other's as well?
