Collinsworth Reed, or just Collie for short, is a very successful hit man. Growing up in a broken and abusive home with excessive bullies at his school, he is the classic textbook definition of a sociopath. Cold and aloof, vicious and uncaring, he doesn't believe in love at all, much less love at first sight.

Until he catches sight of Kate, of course. Beautiful, sweet and innocent Kate Thomas. There's just one problem. Kate is his next assigned target. He knows that, if he doesn't follow through with this assignment, he's dead. He's never felt any emotion towards anything, really, so these feelings scare him majorly.

And why would she feel any sort of attraction towards him, anyways? Is that even possible? So, how can he get rid of these unwanted, and very strong emotions? Will he be able to follow through with the hit, or will it be too hard...
