When Carissa's Dad dies, he left Carissa in charge of her little sister, Bree, and Trace Labs. He also leaves her with a major problem. There was already a major global warming problem going on in the world in 2050. With the electrical explosion that left Carissa's Dad dead, it was the last straw. 2050 would be the year without winter.
