It’s only been a few days since our run-in with that homicidal maniac up at Camp Millinocket Lake. I mean, as if the hockey mask and machete weren’t blasé enough, Psycho-Boy felt the need to slaughter everyone there. But my BFF Windy and I survived. I only wish I could say the same for my $60 Karen Kane paisley top. Do you have any idea how many hours I had to work over at Mega-Mart for that?

The whole thing is kinda surreal, you know? Before the killer introduced us to the true meaning of “wet-yourself scared,” I never really thought of myself as a complacent girl. You know, the kind who becomes so self-involved in her daily life that she labors under the illusion that everything is just peachy, never knowing or understanding how the world really works. But then again, it’s kinda hard to keep a handle on those things when you’re constantly stressing about Mr. Mitchell’s surprise Monday quizzes, or the fact that Amanda Blake keeps trying to steal your boyfriend.

I don’t think anything we did that weekend really sank in until we met that weird guy from what he called the Ordo Templi Venator and listened to what he said. That we're going to hell in the proverbial hand basket. Like, those missing teens will never be found because they’ve been abducted by a deranged Satanist freak from St. Paul. And the psychopathic killer stalking the streets of Anytown, USA, isn’t just some whack-job loser from a dysfunctional family; he’s a crazy nightmare, hell-bent on slaughtering as many cheerleaders as he can! Unfortunately, this stuff gets lost in the shuffle and because of that we’re all gonna be stalked by things we thought only existed in stories told around campfires. And either we’ll run for the door screaming, or do whatever we can to survive and deal some big hurt to the baddies. I never had any idea those Tai Kwan Do classes my mom made me take as a kid would ever come in so handy.

Either way, welcome to the real world. It's a scary place
