Glowing white orbs shined like the full moon in a night sky, a tangled mess of black hair matted against a sickly pale bluish-gray face with blood, and two twin rivers of the same crimson liquid flowed from a mouth with cracked lips. In the mirror, was the ghastly sight of a grotesque girl wearing a tattered schoolgirl uniform, and it wasn't a reflection, for she couldn't see a girl standing in front of the glass. She seemed to be staring straight at her, with unblinking, piercing eyes.
"My legs," the girl choked out, blood-stained lips parting to form her chilling sentence, "Where are my legs...?"
The lights flickered off with a hiss, plunging the bathroom into pitch-black darkness that seemed as though nothing could cut through it, and Nonomi finally unleashed the bloodcurdling scream that had been building up in the back of her throat.
