Chastidy Tanner- AKA Chaz- is just your average, underprivileged Southern gal, the only focus of her life being navigating her school's extremely steep social ladder- and of course, getting Danny Reike to think of her as more than a friend. And she's almost happy. But when Danny decides that she and her friends should screw the system and run away, everything turns upside down. The food poisoning, the car crash, waking up in the hospital... and having a team of trained killers chasing after them for a very big reason. The group has fallen victim to a mysterious toxin that was placed in the water and have all developed psychic powers. Now, to Chaz, the social ladder is nothing compared to the task of staying alive.
