After the power went out Liz looked up from her book and with a loud grunt she got up from the floor and went to her mom's room. She knocked softly on the door and tried to open it, but it was locked. "Mom, are you OK?" I asked. I heard banging from inside the room. "MOM!!??" I said it louder this time. Finally, the door unlocked and swung open. Mom came out, and what I saw was horrifying. She was carrying my dad's head in her mouth, dangling by his mane. "MOM WHAT IS..." She covered my mouth with her hoof, cutting off my terrified question. "Ssshhh," she said softly. "You'll wake them."All Rights Reserved
