Emily Eaton, sister of Ethan Eaton, couldn't be any less irritated at the band that practices night and day in her basement. Her brother, who is the all star drummer girls fawn over, created a band that is insanely popular in their school- town - even state.

Chase Hawthorne, the school's heartthrob is at the center of it all. Being the lead guitarist and singer makes him the prince of the little town of Tharmer just outside of the big city Atlanta where many can get signed. Not only is he Ethan's best friend, but when his parents have an unexpected trip for a few months the Eaton's agree to let him stay for those upcoming months.

Emily couldn't be more happier for her brother, but when Chase is involved she doesn't know what to do. He's such a heartthrob that even she has trouble not falling for him. But she has closed herself off, after her drastic health change at the end of Sophomore year, which only her parents and brother know about. She isn't the girl she once was.
