She spends her Friday nights and her weekends studying, while her best friend Hana tries to get her to go to parties and go shopping even though she is also a straight A girl who also wants to get into a great college as much as Melissa does. But when Melissa's science teacher Mrs. Walker sets Melissa and the schools bad boy Jake to be partners for a science project, Jake shows Melissa a little bit of the wild side and Melissa discovers that going to party's isn't all that bad.
