Katie is just a avarage teenager. Except for one thing she's a mute girl. She's always felt out of place. Everyone jugdes her even her own family. She's miserable. Her only friend is her self. Everyday at 8:15 pm she sits on her bed pulls out a peice of paper and writes a letter to her self. Lately she's been considering Suicde that is until Duece and his family move in across the street. Duece isn't like other guys he understands her he hears her voice he's perfect or so she thinks. Does Duece hold the key to her heart? Is he really who he say he is? Or will Katie continue on her plans to end her life. All we know for sure is at 8:15pm today a letter will begin with "Dear Me".

"I see the world and it seems like I see it so differently than most other people. It makes me really angry most of the time. Especially since no one ever listens to me or what I've got to say. I have always been the invisible one. No one knows I am there. I try to fit in with everyone, but the students end up ignoring me. When I speak, no words escape my mouth. I have always known that there was another part of me, that wants to shine, but is too scared to show her face. It is as if we have been hiding behind the same mask and no one sees us. We put on a different mask to try to be like everyone else, but we're really covering up our true personality. As if I am a nerd, that everyone can just walk all over. However, I am not that type of person. It is as if, the only way you would be able to get attention, is if you become a "bad boy," or you wear clothes that show too much skin. I am not like that; I do not know how to act "bad". I have always been a good girl and I do not know how to dress like that. I mean I do have some type of fashion sense. When I say I'm a good girl I mean that I am one of those good girls who gets what she want most of the time, but doesn't talk to her parents about her social life, or when she gets a new boyfriend. I keep to myself and they keep to themselves. I mean they still talk to me when they think I need something, and they respect my privacy. I just do not know what to do with my life anymore. I have hidden and gotten ignored, from the world a little too long. I bet if I just disappeared right now, that no one would even know I am gone, let alone miss me. The world is loud. There are those who make no sound. Billions of people on the planet, some make no sound, some hear no sounds, and some don't see what's making the sound. Humans take their voice for granted, they don't realize what it's like not to be able to say what you're thinking. Humans don't realize what it's like not to be able to listen to the world.
