When sixteen year old Madison Kearney makes the decision to move across the country to attend the arts academy of her dreams, she has no idea that she'll learn a lot more than how to improve her voice.
So when a seemingly friendly girl wants nothing more than to make Madison disappear out of the academy, she realises that life at the academy is not always filled with fairies and butterflies.
By the end of it all, she comes to the conclusion that the best way to learn how to face the tolls that come with attending one of the most prestigious schools in the country is to gain help from:
1. A spotlight dependent violinist who doesn't seem to know what the word 'modest' means
2. An oblivious trumpeter who often takes trips to la-la land
And 3. An icing despising guitarist who persists he has a secret genie.
And she learns that some surprises are better than others.

Her story begins when she is around 3-4 years old, just about to start the very first away-from-home experience children in the United Kingdom are encouraged to do. Nursery. Here kids just like Julianna are given the freedom and chance to explore outside of the home environment, without the feeling of an academic learning facility. Julianna is a child rather used to home comforts, so even at the beginning on the long road to get to where she is today, there are struggles and many points in at which she feels lost. {Complete} Throw in two best friends, a home-schooled newbie, a curly-haired boy, a jokester, a walking encyclopedia, an odd classmate, a diva, a complainer, a very eccentric teacher, and a couple other students and what do you get? A very dysfunctional high school orchestra. Based on a true story and told between two friends, this orchestra can't get along, but issues aside, they can play wonderfully together. After all, enemies can't make music with each other, or can they? ~~~~~ This was written thanks to my best friend at the time inspiring me to put my crazy tale of a year down on paper. A majority of this did actually occur during my school year. Sadly, Orchestra programs are disappearing from schools but we won the right to keep ours and get more funding.
