When sixteen year old Madison Kearney makes the decision to move across the country to attend the arts academy of her dreams, she has no idea that she'll learn a lot more than how to improve her voice. So when a seemingly friendly girl wants nothing more than to make Madison disappear out of the academy, she realises that life at the academy is not always filled with fairies and butterflies. By the end of it all, she comes to the conclusion that the best way to learn how to face the tolls that come with attending one of the most prestigious schools in the country is to gain help from: 1. A spotlight dependent violinist who doesn't seem to know what the word 'modest' means 2. An oblivious trumpeter who often takes trips to la-la land And 3. An icing despising guitarist who persists he has a secret genie. And she learns that some surprises are better than others.

Ever since she was a child, Melody has dreamed of following in her famous mother's footsteps and becoming a singer. But there's one problem-her voice. Convinced she doesn't have what it takes, Melody starts to lose faith in her dream. Everything changes when she crosses paths with people from a completely different world than her own. Through new friendships, raw talent, and a fresh take on music, Melody begins to discover that maybe her voice isn't the problem-it's how she's been taught to hear it.
