"I'm sorry Arthur... I can't do this."

I stare up in stare at those beautiful pair of eyes.

"What..." He starts off.

"I'm sorry Art." My voice becomes weak, taking a step back.

"But why?" He questions, taking a step towards me.

"I love my parents Arthur. But everything's gone now. All the people I love would eventually leave me." I state.

"Why should I continue feeling like this when I know I would eventually get my heart broken again." 

He takes a step towards me, slowly closing the gap between us. My back was now pressed against the wall, my breathing hitched a pace faster.

"You...Love me?" He stuttered his eyes searched mine for answers.

My mouth remains shut as sudden realization hits me.

Do I love him.

His hand reaches out for my cheek, his thumb grazing over it.

"No Arthur," I pulled his hand away from my cheek, ignoring the shots of electricity flowing through "Please, I don't want to make this harder, for both of us. What if you won't be there when I need you the most. What if you will leave, just like my parents."

"I promise I won't do that," Arthur's hands find mine, his long fingers wrapped around my wrist.

"That's what everyone says-"

"I will be there for you..." He brings his body closer to mine. I can feel his warm breath at my ear.

"I promise."

I nodded meekly, hoping that he would turn out to be a patient suffering from short term memory loss and would forget about detention but his next words confirmed how rotten my luck was! "Since you didn't react to my calling you a psycho, it confirms that you are one." he shrugged calmly. My brain was ready in an instant with a smart answer to that. I opened my mouth to give it back to him--- "STOP." The headmaster yelled, the pulse in his temple was throbbing red in fury. "The options are now changed to three week detention or four week detention." he muttered in anger. ***** Andrea Wilson was looking forward to having an ordinary life in school. But things don't turn out as planned when she accidentally gets into the bad books of the hot nerd in school. And when that popular nerd turns out to be her brother's best friend....well things don't really uncomplicate. Add to this generous amounts of classes, detentions, friends, enemies, crushes, heart breaks and Andrea is all set to have an eventful year in High School that she was for sure not looking forward to! ~*~~*~*~~*~ #7 in Teen Fiction 4.5.16

"You were worried about me, Specs?" He smirked. "No, Tyler. I hoped that someone cut up your corpse and fed it to paranas. Obviously I was, you idiot! I'm a doctor. Worrying about people is kind of programmed into my system. It's a curse if you ask me," I surprised myself a lot more than I thought was possible with my answer. And what did he do? Laugh! He fucking laughed! Not full on rolling- on- the- floor laughter but a laugh nonetheless. "This isn't funny, Tyler." "It kind of is. Almost a month ago, I would've sworn that you hated me. Be careful, Specs," he squinted down at me, "or you might actually sound as if you like me." I rolled my eyes. "Don't flatter yourself. I was concerned. Don't confuse that with affection. It's two very, very different things." *** When you think that all is not lost in the world. That not all men are pricks and that not all sushi is bad. I quickly fixed my hair and make up, when I went to find Luke he was not there where I left him last.I started looking for him, he was nowhere to be found. I almost searched the whole school, when I was passing by the music room I heard muffled voices so I just stepped in the room and who knew my whole world would fall apart...there in front of me was Luke kissing Rose... I guess Luke heard me walking in because he opened his eyes but rose unaware about me was still kissing Luke. I couldn't take it anymore I turned away, my back to him and ran...I ran and ran making my way out of the school, every step I took was a dagger to my heart...because each step which I took was a step away from Luke.... my Luke .I rushed inside my home into my bedroom and finally collapsed on bed crying my heart out...that's it... I couldn't stay here anymore knowing that my Luke was no more mine...I had to go somewhere away from here. If I stayed here any longer these memories which I had with Luke would haunt me...so with my decision made... Funny! I don't need you idiots to look out for me. But thanks for the thought." With that I quickly made my way to class.
