When Ly Ha loses her family, her friends, and her home an attack by the Americans in the middle of the Vietnam war she is devasted. Alone and scared she wanders through the puma and snake infested jungle. She is at lose until she meets a little boy who can communicate with snakes, he doesn't know who he is, but he looks suspiciously like her older brother Dai Dung. When disaster strikes Ly Ha must lay her trust in the hands of those that took everything away from her.
