Zoey's life has been pretty much a disaster. Her father is a lazy drunk, her mother died a few years ago but Sara, Zoey's best friend, has always gotten her through life's difficulties. But just when she is getting used to life, the U.S. begins losing the wars in the Middle East, the government issues a law that forces teens over the age of 15 to be sent to war, whether they sign up or not. Since Sara is only 14, she isn't forced to join, but Zoey just turned 15, so when she is sent off to war, she begins losing hope in life, in everything. But when she meets Luke, a guy who claims he went to her school on the plane ride over to the base in Afghanistan, she tries her best to stay with him, even though he was the biggest player at her school, she tries to stick by him, even thought he is the biggest jerk she ever met, since he is the only person she knows. Suddenly when Luke disappears, everyone thinks he's dead, but Zoey doesn't believe it, so seh goes looking for him, in the desert, in the Middle East, alone.
Elliot Jensen and Elliot Fintry have a lot in common. They share the same name, the same house, the same school, oh and they hate each other but, as they will quickly learn, there is a fine line between love and hate.
