Nicholas Bennett had been in prison for almost half of his life, and he's only twenty-four. What had happened to make him end up in there, is still a mystery to him. Somehow, his mind has transported him into a war, and the dire consequences led to his imprisonment.
After his release, his readjustment to life isn't the easiest of transitions, especially as the wild visions keep coming.
That is, until he meets Margaret, an elderly woman who he can't seem to avoid, and who enables him to figure out exactly what the visions are, and why he has them.
Meanwhile, with so much going on, will Nicholas be able to find out the truth and make it through it? Will he be able to adjust to life and find a reason to keep going? Will he find a reason to fight the visions, and to avoid ending up back behind bars? Or will he falter and never find his place in life?
