Elliot's an awkwardly shy young man who is studying at college to become an English teacher. But his whole world changes when a mysterious girl, Melinda, swoops into his life. Melinda is a bold, rebellious, butt-kicking enigma, and she is very intrigued by Elliot. There's something about him that's different and she likes it. So she decides to take him under her wings and open his eyes to a new life rather than killing him, like she normally would since she does quite enjoy that.
Elliot doesn't know what to feel-mostly confusion, but he can't help but stare in awe at this supernatural world (and maybe even Melinda a little), and Melinda and him soon find out why.
