When her parents get divorced she is torn away from her home in Texas. After spending a year in Florida her mother Santana finds someone knew. She has a bad feeling about her stepdad Jonathan, he's hiding something and Jessica wants to get to the bottom of it. When warning her mother about the things she finds out about her new hunk her mother doesn't believe her. She thinks it would be best if Jessica left to go stay with her dad for a while but Jessica wasn't leaving without proving that her 'bad feeling' is true.

"Actually I do. I'm working", I said with no emotion at all. They didn't deserve it. They don't get to know how I have felt through the years without them, I'm happy here.
