If I could give you but one thing in life, I would give you the ability to see yourself through my eyes, only then would you realize how special you are to me.

In a world where everyone has been put into factions, there will always be those who never fits that particular standard. Those are the ones society calls divergent, but are they a threat or not?

Here you meet Octavia Pierce, and follow her journey through the faction system as she chooses differently than what she had been assigned to. Her journey through a new faction, where she must find her place and who she is, navigating her way through close friendships, enemies and even love.

That cold hearted instructor who keeps her occupied, and on her toes, is there much more to him than what she first sees?

This fanfiction runs through both before Divergent, under Divergent and under Insurgent. There's references from both the book and the movies.

RANKED #1-Divergent as of 1-29-2019!!! Thank you, wonderful readers 🖤 Rae lay on the stiff mattress, unmoving. She stared up at the white ceiling, imagining what the seconds, minutes and hours would sound like as they rushed by. Time was such a strange thing. One moment you can feel as if there's too much of it, and in the next moment there's not enough. Time probably passes silently for a reason. If it made a sound it would probably be unpleasant. A constant screaming reminder of the moments that were wasted, taken for granted, stolen away or lost. A raging celebration of the moments that were precious, intimate and full. It would probably be too loud for a person's ears to handle, and we would crumble under the pressure. ***Intended for adults only! The Divergent story and many characters belong to the wonderful Veronica Roth! I hope you like the story. I've pulled together things from both the book and movie, and put a lot of effort into referencing both to make the story flow. Also, in this story the initiates are 18 when the choosing ceremony takes place. Let me know what you think, but please be nice!***
