Everyone has something. Some have asthma, some have glasses or contacts, some have social issues. They range from life threatening like cancer, to something that is just there, like cavities. Mine happens to be my HIV status. My life has been normal.  I'm a normal teenager, until the day the boy next door moves in. My life goes downhill and my family falls apart, but he makes me feel happy. But he is also a teenager, a boy with needs and I'm a girl with hormones. An untrustworthy boy, who I trust. And I make a mistake that could change my life forever, and puts me, and the boy next door, in danger. 
The worst part is? It's because of my HIV status.
