"I can't believe we're stuck in here." I scowled, crossing my arms.
"Well, you know what they say, yolo." Oliver said, plucking a string off his jacket.
I stared at him in pure confusion. How does being stuck in the science lab apply to this?
"It means you only live once." He explained slowly. That idiot thought I didn't know what it stood for.
I snorted, looking down at the teddy bear in my hand. Brown with a sprinkle of yellow across its cheeks (this bear does not make sense).
"We were trying to get the teddy" I gestured towards it."and got stuck in a lab."
He smiled, a genuine, heartwarming smile. "We are teddy bear heroes." At that, a smile unwillingly crept onto my face.
"Teddy bear heroes." I repeated.
For the next hour, we stayed together in the lab, talking randomly and asking weird and unnecessary questions. The scenario wasn't exactly the best one, and I didn't expect the become good friends with him, but he was unexpectedly funny and cute - something I hate to admit, but it's true. He had the worst jokes, which brought a smile to my face.
Eventually, we fell asleep. We each clutched the teddy bear tightly in our hands. I could remember what I said before I fell asleep : Teddy bear heroes.
