Aubrey McBride didn't have the best life. She had constant bulling at her religious school for being bisexual. She only had a few friends who accept her for who she is.

Her home life wasn't the greatest either. Her parents were constantly arguing, her father would come home drunk and hit her and her mother, and her brother died when he was seven years old, and Aubrey was four.

There wasn't much Aubrey could do about it, so she just lived life one day at a time. Until one day, exploring the forest behind her apartment complex, she stumbles upon a clearing in the trees that would one day change her life forever.
