Why would a child get passed down from one junkie to another? Layne was friends with Kurt, but when Kurt passed away, he couldn't understand why he was on the will. He couldn't understand why he was given joint custody to take care of his daughter, Lily.

As he gets to know her, Bruno slowly unravels the pain she's been hiding from the media and even people she's close to.
