The Caligomerus, a group of radicals directly descended from the original elements, wish to enslave all the other Natusinitia and take over Pendulus. They believe they are superior because of their lineage. Ariella Stone is a fire element and the leader of the Pyrovalidum clan after her brother disappeared leaving no trace behind. With her fiery nature and heritage she must work alongside Zachery  Ardus who is as calm and collected as that of his element, water, to find her brother and stop the Caligomerus from taking control of their blessed capital Lychnus .
