"Once upon a time there lived a fairy princess. All the people of the kingdom adored her. She was beautiful, kind hearted, and intelligent. One day she was whisked away by the evil king - her step father - to a far away land. There she met and fell in love with a commoner. Her father would not allow the two to get married. So they ran away and lived happily ever after."
That's what would happen in a fairytale. But this isn't a fairytale. This is real life. Fairy princesses don't exist. But if they did, they surely wouldn't fall in love with some idiotic, ugly, depressing commoner. Even so, that's what I wish would happen... So you can call me wishful, a dreamer, stupid... I don't care. I'm just a commoner who's in love with the fairy princess.

Like Rapunzel, but Not Really β
Living a life out of a fairytale story is really not as it is cut out to be. I mean, Cinderella had to clean up a whole mansion by herself every day. Belle had to put up with a housemate who needed a shaver as much as he needed anger management classes. And don't even let me get started with Snow White and her stepmom's drama. Really, Rapunzel of the 21st century? I would rather be a tree. At least I would be contributing oxygen to the world. -------------------- Arianna had lost track of the number of houses, schools and countries she had moved to in order to run away from her crazy stalker until finally her Dad had just had enough and locked her up in the penthouse of The Tower, a building he owned in the city, with only her flamboyant cousin for company. But one desperate decision to sneak out of the house one night caused her an eventful meeting with Tristan, a mysterious boy, who suddenly seemed to be cropping up all the time after that first meet. Previous to Ever After
Does every story end in a Happily Ever After? Let me just start off by saying that when you're a princess, no one ever actually asks you if you wan't to be a princess. You just are. Which sucks. There are rules. A lot of rules. Always look your best. Always stand up straight. Never walk flat footed. Always be polite. And never, under any circumstances, use sarcasm. Mother added that last rule after I learned to speak. This was the life I, Genevieve Rosemary Rochester of Chestwood was living. At least, I was until my father grew very, very ill and I was sent on a quest, with some boy I barely knew, clear across the land by my Fairy Godmother to locate ingredients for a potion to heal him. And yes, I have a Fairy Godmother, but more on that later. So, one shaving of a unicorn's horn. One chip from the troll's bridge. And one drop of dragon's blood. All to be mixed by the land's one and only wizard. Oh, and did I mention I had to be back with the potion before midnight in three days? And so, I began my journey with no one but William Porter, a boy whom I had just met, even though I was already betrothed to a jerk of a prince, and my trusty steed, Wesley, who was the closest thing I've ever had to a friend. Once upon a time... That's how all the fairytales begin, right? There's a girl who's mistreated and misunderstood. She meets a guy--probably the most popular guy in school (and hey, why not make him British while we're at it?). He's most likely very handsome and just as rich, and magically seems to understand her. It feels like they've known each other forever when in fact they've actually just met. It's love at first sight, the guy saves the girl from whatever misery she's in, they meet only two or three problems along the way, and then it's happily ever after. But this isn't a fairytale. Better Than The Movies
In this world, there are some people who get their happily ever afters and others who don't. Those who get their magical fairytale romance, cherish it for as long as it lasts while the others never get to enjoy the wonders of a fairytale. Instead, they are forced to stay inside their hopeless reality and grow old thinking about what they did to deserve never getting their once upon a time. I think those are the ones who wanted it bad enough. They craved a fairytale more than life itself. Devoted their lives to Disney movies and romance books just to be let down by the real world. Once upon a time, as most stories begin with, in the hidden heart of Ireland, there was a very handsome prince named Sean. He was rich beyond compare, he taxed village people to fill his castle with the most beautiful objects. All though Sean had everything he needed and wanted, he was selfish, greedy, and unkind. One night, an old beggar woman came to his castle, seeking shelter from the bitter storm. She had nothing but a single rose she offered him. From her old and ugly appearance, Sean turned the woman away. The woman warned Sean not be deceived by haggard appearances...for beauty is found within. When he dismissed the woman again, the woman's appearance changed only to reveal a beautiful enchantress. Sean begged for forgiveness but it was to late, for the enchantress has only seen selfishness in Sean's heart. As punishment, she turned him into a hideous demon and placed a spell on the castle and all who lived there. As days lead into years, Sean and his servants were forgotten by the world for the enchantress erased all memory of them. And the rose the enchantress gave Sean was truly a enchanted rose. If he could learn to love another, (a male or female), and earn their love in return before the last petal falls, the curse will be broken. If not, Sean will remain a demon, for all time.
