This is the story of Jesse Rutherford, a fictional character who could have been one my best friends if he existed in real life.

-

18-year-old Jesse Rutherford has always been the unluckiest boy in the world. His school life was a failure, his social life was a disaster and his personal life is still a chaos. He was always bullied, he never had a chance to stand up for himself... He used to have a girlfriend, ten years ago, named Sally who was actually the only girlfriend he had in his entire life... He always wanted to be a normal human being, but his struggles made him more and more withdrawn. Whenever he tried to get himself out of the dark rooms he locked himself into, he failed. The more he failed, the more bizarre he got...

Even though they were a wealthy family, money could not buy happiness nor health... In his senior year of high school, his mom diagnosed with breast cancer. His father, Bruce Rutherford, closed his company to get closer with him and strengthen their family bounds. He never resisted his attempts to be a good father even though he never loved him as much as the other people love their fathers but his father accomplished his attempts to make Jesse a spiritually better person. For once in his life, Jesse had hope for his mom to be healthy again...

After the senior year of high school, he joined a support group to recover his broken soul and spend some time until the university acceptance mails arrive. But one day, one unfortunate day, when everything was just about to get better for Jesse... He got the worst news... And that was just the beginning of some series of unfortunate events which will lead Jesse to the last straw.
