Her name was Anna. I always found a way to look into her eyes at least once a day. I'll always remember the last day I looked at them. The blue oceans she had for eyes normally inviting and warm, were filled with angry, resentful waters. I hoped the storm in her eyes would calm, but one day they drowned me. I never knew why. I'd like to believe that if I sent these letters to her, that she would still open them; that she would still care. She held my heart in her hands like a deck of cards, but decided to play 52 card pickup over a fire. However she kept one card, the ten of aces and burned it slower than the rest... watching the flame engulf the flimsy playing card. That's why they're on here.... harder to burn.
