You've heard the story. Anakin betrays the Jedi Order, thousands of Jedi are dead, and all clones betray their master within a blink of an eye. But what happened to the ones that did not approve of these actions? Follow Clone Wars veteran Captain Rex and a group of clone troopers as they defy this new Stormtrooper Code and instead follow their own Clone Code. What lies in store for them in this new "Galactic Empire?"

Star Wars: Darkness Rising

Captain Rex's Journey
Star Wars, a series of films that began under George Lucas himself, and are being made under Disney-Lucasfilms productions... This story began as a Captain Rex fan fiction but I have evolved it into something more. Watch as Captain Rex and Jedi padawn Paul Hornen face off against the Empire and First Order, while also meeting legacy characters and protecting those they care about. The year is 5 BBY, roughly the time of the Empire's most powerful years. Captain Rex's mission of rescuing Cody will soon begin, and in doing so he wishes to form a rebellion to bring back the Republic. Hear the events that brought Rex back in action to rescue Cody and Anakin once and for all. Nearly five years ago, the Clone Wars ended with a purge that wiped an entire people from the galaxy. Jess, formerly known as CC-9976, a member of the 21st Nova Corps, shot down his Jedi general in accordance with Order 66. Now, Jess finds himself a stormtrooper for the Galactic Empire. The Empire is not the Republic that he was once so proud to serve. Jess finds himself being tested in ways he never was before. As the Empire tightens its fist around the galaxy, Jess makes the decision to escape. Jess makes his way out of Imperial control and, eventually, into the hands of the Rebellion. War is all he's ever known. Whether he is a clone, an Imperial soldier, or a Rebel fighter, one fact remains. He is a trooper and war is in his blood. Ryn Alera has only known slavery throughout her life. The last place she expected to find help was with the Empire. When Ryn is due to serve the rest of her life on Kessel, she makes a stand for her freedom. When a rogue stormtrooper helps her escape, Ryn finds herself trapped in a whirlwind of war and danger. Gradually, she adjusts to her new life on the run, and later, in the Rebellion. As she grows closer with Jess, the man who helped her escape, her values begin to change. She wasn't born a fighter, but if the galaxy's freedom requires it, she will be a soldier. Warning This book, while being a work of fiction, still contains real elements and deals with the subject of war.
