There are some people who have a hard time making a good bunch of friends in college, but I made my great bunch of friends before I even stepped foot on campus.

And I, Maria Nowell, all became close friends after meeting at orientation. We became a close knit group of friends that didn't end up having too many classes together, but still made and found time to be together, that shared secrets and past events and created new promises and memories to go along with them.

It didn't take much for us to all become best friends, which is probably why it didn't take much for it to suddenly break apart. All the time we spent together after a while got to be too much and soon we were hardly talking and all that passed between us were angry stares instead of sweet smiles. The secrets we harbored started growing and haunting us, and could no longer be shared. Our past lives got in the way and suddenly they were more important than the present.

It only takes one apple to spoil the whole basket, and similarly it takes one small disagreement between one person and suddenly everyone's at war. By the second semester, no one can look at each other the same way again. Will things be fixed before the end of the school year? Or was our friendship only meant to last those six months?
