The Forgotten World

Aliens came to our world. but not in peace.. their forces overwhelmed the worlds military within a matter of days. this takes place 6 years after arrival, John Matson has been on his own since they came. They killed around 70% of the worlds population. The lucky ones escaped the Citys. And even then most didn't have survival skills. so we can add another % to the death total. He is on his way to Chicago after hearing a broadcast over a satellite radio saying theirs a resistance movement. But john can create light with his hands, and can sense when someone is nearby.. but he's no idea how or why.
