The year is 2039.
The world is finally at peace...
Well, mostly, at least.
The United States government has just formed a new "protection" against mutants called the MRD. The Mutant Response Division.
Mutants must either be on Genoshia, registered as a mutant, or they must be in jail.
It's a horrible truth to admit; Magneto was right.
Now he calls for mutants to band together, to come to Genoshia, his paradise. He has supposedly given up global equality in exchange for his island mutant city.
The X-Men, or what is left, are in hiding. They hesitate at his offer. After all, he did try to kill them on more than one occasion.
Even now, after everything, can the mutants finally come together? Can they put aside their differences and join under one leader, or will they crash and burn? Find out in "The Best of Us."
