No Mistakes

"No one new they were coming but I could hear them. From miles away the screeching of the dragons, the beast we feared, grew closer and closer. The laughter that was once all around me now was replaced by the screams.

The ground began to turn to a crimson red as the blood of my family and friends stained it. All around me my village was bringing turned to ash. "Mom!" I cried, seeing my mother lifted higher and higher into the air. She threw down her pendant to me just as her head was ripped away from her body.

Looking around I saw him. He was only here for one reason. Me. I was his rider. Standing on the top of the hill in his other form was my beast.
