Clarissa was like any other high school girl until her mother died one night saving her life in dangerous waters. She became more of a recluse as time went on and her paranoid father banned her from entering the ocean.
One night she finally gives in to her best friend, Stacy, and follows her out on a party boat where things may just get interesting for Clarissa when a storm throws her overboard and she pops a tail.
She has been given a chance to basically start over with a new life as she discovers all the ocean has to offer.
In the end she is given a choice and she must decide will she choose the ocean or the shore.

Ocean Eyes
Rachel Dawn Evans, a high school girl who has a big crush on the boy with ocean eyes. To her, he seemed like a nice guy and would like to get to know him better. They began talking and after a year, things don't seem to be going their way. Perhaps their story wasn't meant to have a happy ending. Perhaps, this is a story of growth, the process of maturity. A story of acceptance. Remember, you can adore those ocean eyes all you want. But be careful, don't drown in them. Tw; mentions of abuse, self-harm and attempt at suicide. Proceed with caution. Note: I wrote this story 4/5 years ago. Decided to pick it up and edited it a bit recently. Nonetheless, the writing style is still pretty much how i wrote 4/5 years ago back when i just started. The writing isn't polished. I didn't really change much of the writing because I wanted to see how much I've improved (not that much to be honest) and also to preserve my old writings. I'm writing a book about sirens and merpeople (yes, different things) and want opinions as I go along with the story and some support so I can continue writing! Sophia is part of the crew on the Major after hearing rumours the captain decided she has to die But as she was drowning she found a new power within her an turns into a siren Follow Sophia and her, later found, best friend Lucy on their adventures while discovering more and more of Sophia's powers. And I smell a romance between the friends blossoming And I have already written their get together scene so that is a promise I intend to keep ;) It's gonna be rated Mature when I post that scene, but until then it's off And that scene doesn't really hold any plot so you can skip it (I'll put a warning before and tell you when it's over though)

She spun until she could make out his form, black against gray sky. "What?" she sputtered. She dragged one arm from the water long enough to shove wet hair from her face. Jason became clearer: black hair dark above his yellow raincoat, arms crossed over his chest. "What the hell are you talking about?" "I asked how you like it, going for a swim in this water." She was open-mouthed with disbelief. It was a bad idea; a surge lifted her and slapped salt water into her mouth. Bile burned her throat as she coughed and all the while she was still flailing at the water, fighting the drag of shoes and clothes to keep afloat. She should kick them off-that's what you were supposed to do if you fell into the ocean with your clothes on-but she was only a dozen feet from the dock. Besides, it was her only coat. Jason watched her the way she'd watch a barracuda. "I know you're following me." "Following you?" What. The. Hell. She gave a mighty kick and tossed her coat onto the dock. Jason just stood there.
