I wrote 'Strength in the Little Things' for a class assignment. My teacher let use each choose a seashell and from that shell we had to write a story. And yes, I still have the shell. I hope you enjoy it!
Addison and her mother live in a broken family and are plauged by the abuse and torment of Addison's alcoholic father. Addison is recalling the most vivid and terrifying memories from her life in this short story, including her most painful memory and the one that gives her the most hope.

Charlotte, A 4 year old girl, her mother was killed in front of her by her father and straight after her father shot himself when she was just 2 years old. Charlotte lives in Manhattan, New York. Her mother was a very nice woman but her father was a terrible man that used to hurt her and her mother, she is very small for her age, she looks like a 2 year old even though she is 4, she was neglected so she didn't grow very well. She hasn't learnt a lot of things in her life. She doesn't really talk to people because she thinks they will hit her for talking. The water feels ice cold, freezing every bone and cell in my body. I know that there's something I should remember right now, but I just can't find it in me to care.
