What do you do when the world you know is gone?
Young teen Zara Teller is forced to learn how to cope in the post-apocalyptic world. She not only have to learn how to protect and defend herself, she has an eight year old boy to look out and care for. For he is all she has left in the harsh apocalyptic world.
On the other hand, eight year old boy Zachary Teller is robbed of his childhood, and is forced to do things that would give full grown adults nightmares. He too has to learn the ways of the of the apocalypse.
